I studied textiles at Brighton Polytechnic qualifing as a weaver which then led me on to a career as a InteriorDesigner.
When the children were little, I returned to my love of painting attending local art classes and thenonto Amersham College where I attended Art & Printmaking classes.
My inspiration is from my surrounding landscapes when out walking the dogs, seascapes & flowers. I also take many photos and work from sketches.
My approach is to work through a series of drawings & collages to some element of abstraction using my textiles background & printmaking techniques.
I am always learning new techniques which I keep adding to my work. This approach for me is a definite reflection of my textiles background.
A strong use of colour & different textures & layering. I am always exploring new ways of working using different variety of mediums.
I have exhibited locally & after a break of 4 years I will be taking part in Bucks Open Studios with my son & mother as Studio 53.
