Penn Street Gallery is delighted to announce a retrospective exhibition of Rosina Flower’s paintings. To celebrate Rosina’s life 1933 – 2023 and illustrious career, there will be a mixture of her flower paintings, still life and water colours on display. Working closely with Rosina’s daughter, Laura, the team have carefully selected the collection of works that will be on display along with personal archives documenting Rosina’s many previous shows.
As the first exhibition since Rosina’s passing, it’s a wonderful opportunity to purchase and invest in this renowned local artist. Previous exhibitions have included; The Royal Society of British Artists, Gallerie Hautefeuille in Paris and Buckinghamshire County Museum, plus many more.
Curator Ria Charlton says ‘It has been a huge honour to be entrusted with creating the first posthumous exhibition of Rosina’s work. It’s a wonderful fit to celebrate such a great local artist who only lived three miles away from the gallery in Hazelmere. I’m so excited to share the excellent work with the public and to celebrate such talent’
We, at Bespoke Framing (Alex and Alison), have known Rosina professionally and personally for over 15 years, working closely on her framing, creating her signature frame style which she used extensively. We feel this is a fitting tribute to a great artist and lovely, creative lady.
The exhibition will run from the 1st to the 30th of June Wednesday to Sunday 10am-5pm. Please note the gallery can only be accessed by stairs. More details can be found on the website www.pennnstreetgallery.com and instagram @pennstgallery
Bespoke Framing featured Rosina as our Featured Artist way back in 2010 and you can read it again here
