Firenze 23.75 carat gold gilded frame

Our customer brought in a previously gilded frame and wanted us to match up a new painting they had bought by the same artist. After several attempts of various carat gold, we match Firenze to the piece with a darker red bole.  The gold was burnished after the gild and rubbed back ever so slightly to show the overlay of the gold.  As you can see ,there is virtually no difference between the two pieces. Hence, the customers are delighted with the end result.
